CONSUMER BLOCK GRANTS Accountable Behavioral Health Alliance (ABHA) has a total of $30,000 available for grants to mental health consumer run, sponsored, or enhanced services, programs, projects, or activities for ABHA member adults and/or children and families. $15,000 will be used to fund adult related projects, and $15,000 will be used to fund projects related to children, youth and families. Grants Request Forms will be available beginning July 3, 2006. Grant requests are due on July 28, 2006, by 5 pm at the Corvallis ABHA office. The Consumer Advocacy Advisory Committee will meet on August 8, 2006 to review adult project requests, and the Children and Families Advisory Council will meet on September 7, 2006 to review children, youth and family project requests. At least one grant will be awarded in each of ABHA’s five counties (Benton, Crook, Deschutes, Jefferson, and Lincoln Counties) All applicants will be notified by mail within two weeks of grant award recommendations. Contracts will be negotiated, dated, signed and returned no later than 60 days after award recommendations. Subject to available funding, project grant funds can be invoiced for payment beginning October 16, 2006 for adult projects, and November 13, 2006 for children, youth and family projects.
